I became a Wealth Advisor simply to help others do the most with something that is integral in all of our lives: work and money. Both of these are challenges to all. If I can assist others in areas as ever-present as these, then I can undoubtedly do my part to help our society. My aim is to work collaboratively with individuals and business owners to help them make the most of their hard-earned money.
Following my college days at Texas A&M University, being an educator has been in my blood. I spent 16 years as an educator, from the classroom to district level administration. However, I decided to follow another interest of mine and become a financial professional. Doing so has allowed me to shift into a different role as an educator. Being a financial professional isn’t just about managing money for me. It’s also about providing valuable knowledge on financial topics and how to make them relevant as an educator should. Part of my mission is to make complex topics plain and to help people understand and use them to their benefit.
As an educator, my job was to help students gain understanding and make measurable progress. To me, being a financial professional is similar. We use our tools, craft solutions, and monitor progress by working together with those who want someone working by their side. From my perspective, this is the foundation of helping individuals get to financial levels they did not know were possible.
Aside from being a Registered Investment Advisor Representative, I also hold designations as a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor®(CRPC) and a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA). These credentials certify of my specialized knowledge in retirement planning for individuals and retirement plan advisory for companies. Earning these designations has increased my aptitude and ability to help individuals and businesses navigate their planning and execution of retirement plans.
I am a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Business Administration. I also obtained my Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. I am a native Houstonian and I enjoy all things related to local professional and collegiate athletic teams. I am also an enthusiast of the local restaurant scene and enjoy supporting small businesses in the area. Outside of work, most of my time is spent with my family, local church, and brothers of my fraternity, Phi Beta Sigma Inc. I am married to my college sweetheart, Latoya, and together we are raising two beautiful and energetic girls, Gabrielle (4) and Mikayla (2).
